If you add a trusted device in Android, your smartphone will remain unlocked as long as there is a Bluetooth connection with this device. This is useful, for example, if you connect your Android smartphone to Bluetooth boxes or your hands-free system in the car. In the following we explain how this works.

How to add a trusted device

Note: For these instructions you must first activate Smart Lock . Check out this article to learn how to do that.

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions ..

1st step:

First open your smartphone settings and then go to " Security ". There tap on " Smart Lock " and then on " Trusted device ".

2nd step:

Go to " Add Trusted Device ". Make sure your Bluetooth connection is active .

3rd step:

Select the Bluetooth device you want to add from the list .

4th step:

Confirm with " Yes, add ".

5th step:

You will now see the list of your trusted devices . Your smartphone will now remain unlocked as long as there is a Bluetooth connection with the trusted device.
