Not satisfied with a game on Steam and would like to sell it again? Unfortunately, it's not that easy. However, you still have a number of options. We have put them together for you.
A game bought on Steam can usually not be sold again. But there is one exception: If a game is not in your library but in your inventory, it can be traded. A game is in your inventory if you bought it as a gift but didn't select an addressee. In such a case, you can send the game to another Steam member. It can either be exchanged or sold. The sale then does not take place officially via Steam, but the money has to be sent elsewhere - for example via PayPal. If you are not satisfied with a game, you may be able to return it. We'll explain more about returning Steam games in this article. By the way: You might also consider selling your entire Steam account. However, this is not permitted by Steam's terms of use.
