How to hide the iPhone X notch with Notch Remover

Can't stand that notch at the top of the iPhone X screen? It doesn't bother me at all. I actually find the notch to be a pretty cute design element. Naturally, some people may find it visually distracting. If you want to hide the notch, there is now an app to do so..

Enter Notch Remover

An application named Notch Remover made by Axiem Systems claims to be able to help hide the notch area on the locked screen, and the home screen of your iPhone X. This application takes an image you have chosen from your Camera Roll album. and the rule in the format of the wallpaper of the iPhone X while adding a black bar on the top to make the notch visually indistinguishable from the left and right “ear”.

The app then saves the wallpaper image from your Camera Roll album, allowing you to set it as your locked wallpaper or home screen in Settings → Wallpaper. This has the effect of hiding the notch on the Lock screen and Home screen. The notch is still present in the apps you use, however, and it doesn't have any other way to cover it up, but this app is certainly a smart way to do it..

Surprisingly, Notch Remover has been approved by Apple.

Apple has encouraged its developers to embrace the notch, with its developer guide advising not to hide the rounded corners of the device, the sensor housing, or the home screen access indicator by placing black bars at the top and bottom of the screen..
