Regardless of whether with the code of a Steam credit card or directly online: Topping up your own Steam account is very easy. With just a few clicks you will have new Steam credit straight away.

Add funds to the Steam account

1st step:

Open Steam. Then click on the blue area at the top right , which also contains your user name and your possible remaining credit. From the drop-down menu, select the option " Show credits ".

2nd step:

Now you get to the page where you can top up your Steam credit. Here you can deposit a fixed amount (€ 5, € 10, € 25, € 50 or € 100). To do this, simply click on " Top up credit " next to the corresponding amount. You will now be guided through the payment process. After payment, you can manage the topped-up credit with your Steam account. Alternatively, you can select " Redeem Steam gift card or credit code " on the right . In the next step, simply enter the code that you have for more Steam credit. With a click on " Next " the credit will be added.

By the way: In order to buy a game, you do not need to have credit in your account. You can also pay the exact amount when you buy the game.
