Sometimes it can be helpful to make an image smaller. The aim is not to change the actual dimensions of a digital image, but to compress the information stored in the image. This means that the image's file will take up less space on your computer. With several hundred images, this can make a difference.

Note: Windows users can also use Paint to shrink JPGs. However, it is faster online:

1st step:

Go to the CompressJPEG website . Upload your files via " Select " or drag and drop your files into the upload box. You can upload individual images or a ZIP folder with your images.

The file will now be compressed automatically. Below the picture you can click on " Download " to download the individual picture. With a click on " Download ZIP " you can download all images in a ZIP folder.
