How to change the line spacing of your Word document

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Open the Word document and make sure that you are on " Start " in the menu bar . Then select the text for which you want to change the line spacing. Note: If you want to change the line spacing in the entire document, you do not have to mark it beforehand!

2nd step:

Go to the menu item “ Paragraph ” on the symbol with the two opposite arrows and the lines next to them.

Now you can choose from the given line spacing . For more manual settings, click on " Line spacing options ".

A window will then open in which you can make further settings. You can set your line spacing manually under the menu item " Indents and Spacing ". When you are done, just press " OK " and your changes will be implemented.
