If you work with the same web pages every day or just want to save the open tabs for later, you can do so easily in Firefox. We'll show you how to save individual tabs or how to save an entire session.

Save selected tabs in Firefox

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions ..

1st step:

Hold down [Ctrl] and click with the left mouse button on the tabs you want to save. You can recognize the selected tabs by a blue line above the tab (see arrow).

Now click with the right mouse button on the currently open tab and select the option “ Add tabs as bookmarks ”. Note that it is important not to switch to another tab between step 1 and step 2, as this will reset the selection of tabs.

In the " New Bookmarks " menu that now opens, select a name for the tab folder in which the selected tabs will be saved. For orientation, select the current date or a relevant term that can be easily assigned to the tabs. Then select the folder where you want to save your tabs. You can select the folder using the drop-down arrow to the right of the folder. We select the bookmarks toolbar here . Finally, click “ Add Bookmark ” to confirm ".

4th step:

Your tabs are now successfully saved in the bookmarks toolbar. To open all tabs, click with the middle mouse button on the created folder. Alternatively, you can right- click on the folder and select " Open all in tabs ". Your saved tabs will now open and you can continue working on your research.

Save entire session in Firefox

You can also use a simple shortcut, i.e. a key combination, to save your entire session of all tabs in Firefox. To do this, press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [D] at the same time to open the menu for " New Bookmarks ". Then continue with step 3 of the previous instructions.

Quick guide: Save selected tabs in Firefox

  1. Select the tabs to be saved with the [Ctrl] key pressed and the left mouse button .
  2. Make a right click "on the current tab and go to add tabs as bookmarks ".
  3. Choose an appropriate folder name and location , and click Add Bookmark .
  4. Open your tabs with the middle mouse button or with a right click and " Open all in tabs ".
