Install plugins

1st step:

Search the internet for the plugin you want. There is no website that provides you with all the plugins, but you have to search for the website of the respective plugin. Then first download the files of the plugin. Then open the file location . Typically, downloaded files are saved in the Downloads folder .

2nd step:

Now you have to unzip it. To do this, right click on the folder you just downloaded and click on "Extract All ... ".

3rd step:

Now switch to GIMP . Click on " Edit " in the upper left corner, then click on " Preferences ".

4th step:

In the list on the left click on " Folder " and then on " Plugins ". There are two more sub-folders in the folder. One is for the system , the other for the user . Select the latter and then click on the button at the top right to display the folder in the Windows directory.

5th step:
