There are two different ways to add funds to an Amazon account. Either you manually post a selected amount to the account or you set up an automatic top-up. We explain both options to you using step-by-step instructions:

1st step:

Open amazon.de and click on " My Account " in the top right corner .

2nd step:

Click on the " Top up gift cards & Amazon account " field.

3rd step:

You are now on the " Manage your account balance " page . Here you can also see your current balance . Click on the button " Top up my Amazon account ".

4th step:

You can now select the amount that you would like to add to your account. You can either choose one of the specified amounts or enter your own amount . This has a lower limit of € 0.15 and an upper limit of € 5000 . You can top up your account by credit card or bank account. Finally click on the yellow button with " Charge XXX " below .

Top up your Amazon account automatically

When you make this setting, you need to set a threshold . For this you define a value from which charging should take place. This means that if you set, for example, 20 euros as the threshold value and your credit drops to 14 euros due to a purchase of goods, it will automatically be reloaded with your previously defined amount. 1st step:

Open the Amazon site and click on " My Account " in the top right corner .

2nd step:

Click on the field with " Top up gift cards & Amazon account ".

3rd step:

Now click on " Set up automatic top-up " to the right of your current balance .

4th step:

Now select a top-up amount, the interval and the start date under " Regular automatic top-up ". When you click Auto Top Up by Threshold , you can choose a top-up amount and threshold. Then click on " Sign in to continue ".

5th step:

After logging in, you have to add a payment method or choose one that has already been saved. Then click on " Save Auto Top Up Settings ". The top-up now takes place from your chosen start date.

3. Click on " Top up my Amazon account ".

3. Select "Set up automatic top- up " to the right of your current balance .
4. Either enter a top-up amount , an interval and a start date under " Regular automatic top-up " or enter an amount and a threshold value under " Automatic top-up according to threshold value ".
5. Click on " Sign in to continue ".
6. Choose a payment method or add a new one. Then click on " Save setting for automatic top-up ".
