Mozilla Firefox saves your settings, bookmarks, etc. in a browser profile. When you buy a new computer, you can take your browser profile with you. We explain how you can export your profile from Firefox and paste it back into a newly installed Firefox.
Take a look at our step-by-step instructions or read the quick start guide .
Note: If you have several profiles, you should of course repeat this process for all profiles..
You then have to re-import the folder on your new or format PC in the newly installed Firefox. To navigate back to the path " C: \ Users \ username \ AppData \ Roaming \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Profiles \ " - for users , you must insert your Windows user name. Here you paste the folder again including all copied subfolders and files. The folder for the standard profile should be named xj1gwf5l.default or something similar. The settings are imported into the new Firefox and loaded the next time it is started.
