Do you want to create a YouTube channel? We'll explain how to do it and what you can do with your channel..

Registering with YouTube works without any problems if you have a Google account. However, if you want to not only watch videos, but also publish videos yourself or create public playlists, you should create a channel. We'll show you how to do it below:

Create a YouTube channel

The channel is a YouTube user's individual area in which he can manage his videos. There you can also adjust the cover picture , change the name or manage modules such as playlists or other channels . Our article shows where you can create your personal channel.

1st step:

Go to youtube.com and log in with your Google account details or create a new Google account. Then click on the profile symbol at the top right and select " Create channel ".

2nd step:

Then go to " Start now ".

3rd step:

You can now choose between the options " With your name " and " With a custom name ". If you would like to continue with the name that is stored in your Google account, select " With your name " and click on " Select " on the left-hand side .

4th step:

Now you can make various settings for your channel. For example, you can upload a profile picture via " Upload Picture " or scroll down to enter a channel description . Alternatively, you can make the settings later. To do this, go to "S et up later " at the very bottom .

5th step:

Finally click on " Save and Continue ".

6th step:

You will now see the overview of your newly created YouTube channel. If you want to make or change further settings, simply click on " Adjust channel ". To upload content to your channel, click on " Youtube Studio ".

Quick guide: Create a YouTube channel:

1. Open Youtube.com and log in there with your Google Account to. Click on the profile symbol in the upper right corner and select " Create channel " from the menu .
2. Go to the " Start Now " button .
3. Select " With Your Name " or " With a Custom Name ".
4. Make further settings if required . You can now, for example, upload a profile picture or enter a channel description. To skip this step, scroll down all the way down to " Set up later ".
5. Once you have made all the settings, click on " Save and continue ".
6. Your channel is now created and you can click on " Adjust channel " in the overview or open the Creator Studio .
