Send Facebook messages even without the Messenger app? We'll tell you here whether this is possible and what you need to consider..

If you want to make full use of Facebook on your smartphone, you can hardly avoid the Messenger app. Sending messages is not possible in the regular Facebook app. However, there is a possibility how you can send messages via Facebook without the messenger. But: That too will soon no longer be feasible, because in future the messages will only be available in Facebook Messenger. In this article, we explain how you can chat with your friends without Messenger until then.

1st step:

H old down the Messenger app, until the option " Uninstall " appears.

2nd step:

After the uninstallation, open a browser on your smartphone, for example Google Chrome . Load the Facebook page there and log in. From there you can now open the chat and send messages .

3rd step:

So that you can access the page faster, create a shortcut on your home screen. To do this, tap on the browser's three-dot menu at the top right and select " Add to start screen ".

For faster access to chat, you can add the page to your home screen. To do this, tap on the share symbol at the bottom of the browser and then on the " Go to home screen " button .
