Want to sort your Spotify playlist or put it in a custom order? We explain how to do it..

With the help of Spotify playlists you always have your favorite songs to hand and you can create them thematically or depending on the mood. But you would like to have the songs sorted alphabetically or set your own order? It's very easy and here we explain how exactly you do it.

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Open the playlist that you want to reorder. Then tap on the three-dot menu in the upper right to open further settings for the playlist.

2nd step:

Now scroll down a bit and select the item " Edit playlist " to create a custom order . If you want to sort your playlist, select " Sort Playlist ". You can then choose between several categories , such as " Title " or " Album ".

3rd step:

To move a song , tap and hold the three-line symbol behind it and move it to the desired position. When you are finished, tap " Save " to apply the changes.

Desktop

1st step:

Open a playlist. If you now click on one of the three categories , the songs will be sorted accordingly . A green arrow will then appear next to it.

2nd step:

To create a custom order , click and hold a title, then drag it to where you want it. The changes are saved automatically.

Quick guide: App

  1. Open a playlist and tap the three-dot menu in the upper right corner .
  2. Then select the item " Edit playlist " to create a user-defined order. With " Sort playlist " you can select a category according to which the tracks should be sorted.
  3. To move a song , tap and hold the three-line symbol of the respective song and move it to the desired position. Then tap on "Save".
