Don't want someone else to see your search history on Google Maps ? To delete this you just have to find the right way in the settings. We have written the right instructions for you for this.

Note: Your history is only saved on Google Maps if your Google account is linked to the app or browser.

Delete Google Maps history in the browser

1st step:

Open Google Maps in your browser. Click the menu icon (☰) in the top left.

2nd step:

Scroll down the menu until you get to " Google Maps Activities " and click on it.

3rd step:

If you want to delete the history completely or for a certain period of time, click on " Delete activities after " on the left . You can then choose whether the search queries for the " last hour ", " last day ", for the " entire time " or a " user-defined period " should be deleted. You can also " activate automatic deletion " here so that your search queries are always automatically removed after a period of time that you specify.

4th step:

If you want to delete the search queries for a specific day, return to the overview and click on the trash can (1) next to the relevant date . If you only want to remove a single search query, click on the three dots next to the relevant search (2).

Note: The instructions were created with an iPhone, but work the same on Android devices..

1st step:

Open the Google Maps app and tap the menu symbol (☰) in the top left.

2nd step:

In the menu, tap on " Settings ".

3rd step:

Swipe down a little further until you get to " Google Maps History ". Tap on it.

4th step:

The app will now automatically connect to " myactivity " via your Google account . To delete the entire history, tap on the three dots in the upper right corner and select " Delete activities after ".

5th step:

Here you can now remove the history for the " entire time " or just for the " last hour " or the " last day ". With " User-defined period " you can determine the period for which your search queries should be deleted. You can also activate the " automatic deletion " function here so that the history is always automatically deleted after a certain period of time.

6th step:

To delete the search queries for a specific day, return to the overview and tap on the trash can (1) next to the relevant date . To remove just a single search query, go to the three dots (2).

2. Scroll in the menu to the point " Google Maps Activities " and click on it.

4. In the overview, you can remove the search queries for a specific day using the trash can symbol next to the date.
5. To remove an individual search query, tap on the three dots next to the relevant query.

5. To clear the search history for a specific day, tap the trash can next to the relevant date in the overview.
6. To remove a single search query, go to the three dots next to the query.
