The taskbar in Windows 10 is a multi-function tool. You can pin your most-used apps to it, move them around, and even customize how they are displayed. You can also display your appointments directly on the taskbar and change and manage them.

Pin an app

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Click the Windows icon in the lower left and select an app that you want to have on your system tray.

2nd step:

Make a right click on it and select " More " and select " Pin to Taskbar ". You can move the button on the task bar by dragging them down hold and drag .

3rd step:

To remove the app icon from the system tray, right-click on it and then click on " Remove from system tray ".

Group app buttons

1st step:

Right-click an empty space on the taskbar and then select " Taskbar Settings ".

Scroll down to " Group the taskbar buttons " and select an option: Always, hide labels : Each app is displayed as a blank button. When the taskbar is full : Apps are displayed as a labeled button. If the taskbar is full, apps with several open windows are grouped together. Never : Apps appear as a labeled button and windows are never grouped. If the taskbar becomes too full, the buttons become smaller.

Icons in the notification area

Right-click an empty space on the taskbar and then select " Taskbar Settings ".

Now scroll down a little to the " Notification area " category and click on " Select icons to be displayed on the taskbar ".

You can now choose which icons you would like to display in the notification area . If you deactivate a switch, the symbol is moved to the overflow area , which you can display with the up arrow on the taskbar.
