To contain the coronavirus, chains of infection are to be made more traceable using the new official corona warning app. If you test positive for Covid-19, you can share this information in the app and do your part to contain the virus. Because all app users who have recently been in your area will be informed of the contact with an infected person and can then take appropriate action. You remain anonymous during this process. The other users do not know who the infected person is.

First steps: setting up the app and choosing the method

Navigate to the app overview and tap under “ Have you been tested? ” On “ Find out more and participate ”. Then select whether your test document contains a QR code or a TAN and continue with the corresponding instructions.

1st step:

In the overview, tap on " Document with QR code ".

2nd step:

With " Allow " you grant the necessary authorizations so that the test result can be transmitted to the app's server system.

3rd step:

The app requires camera permissions to scan the QR code. Grant this.

4th step:

Position the frame over the document's QR code. The QR code is then automatically recognized and your test results are sent to the server. If the result is positive, all app users who have recently been in your area will be informed.

Share test results using a TAN

Follow our step-by-step instructions to register your test results using a TAN.

1st step:

If you would like to register your test using a TAN, then tap on " TAN " in the selection .

2nd step:

Enter the 10-digit TAN that you were given. After entering the information, tap on " Next ". The test result will now be sent automatically.

No QR code or TAN available?

Do you have neither a QR code nor a TAN at hand? Then follow our instructions to find out how to get a TAN:

1st step:

If you do not have a TAN yet, tap on " No TAN yet? " In the selection .

2nd step:

You can request your TAN by calling the hotline . To do this, either tap on " Call " or dial the number shown manually. Have your report and your telephone number ready.

3rd step:

After you have received the 10-digit TAN via the hotline, tap on " Enter TAN " below .

4th step:

The 10-digit TAN is requested when entering the TAN. Confirm your entry with " Next " and your data will be transmitted.

Quick guide: QR code

1. In the selection menu, tap on " Document with QR code ".
2. Then agree to the data protection information .
3. Now you have to grant the app authorizations for your camera so that the QR code can also be scanned.
4. Position the document's QR code in the frame shown.
5. Your test document will then be sent.
