With Windows 10 Mail, a clear e-mail program is preinstalled on your Windows computer. However, before you can take full advantage of the program, you need to link it to your email account. We explain step by step how to set up the mail app for the first time and then add further e-mail accounts.

1st step:

Open the mail program by clicking the Windows start icon and selecting " Mail ". You should then log in with your e-mail account. Choose which types of accounts you want to associate with Windows 10 Mail. If your account type is not in the list, such as GMX or Web.de, select " Other account ".

2nd step:

In the next window you have to enter your e-mail address and the corresponding password. Then click on the " Register " button . Now your email account is linked to Windows 10 Mail. Now the mail app will start synchronizing your emails. Depending on the number of e-mails, this process can take a few minutes.

Click the gear in the lower left . The settings then open on the right-hand side . Click here on " Manage accounts ".

2nd step:

Then go to " Add Account ".

3rd step:

Select the appropriate account type here.

4th step:

Finally, enter your email address and the associated password . Confirm your entry with the " Log in " button and your e-mail account will be synchronized with the Windows 10 mail app.
