Cookies are activated by default in Mozilla Firefox. Among other things, these save login data to make surfing the Internet more convenient for you. However, if you have deactivated cookies at some point in the past and no longer know how, we will explain here how to reactivate them in Firefox.

How to enable cookies in Firefox

Start Firefox and click the menu icon ( ) in the upper right corner .

You can now activate cookies using the following options: Select Custom and remove the check mark next to Cookies. Alternatively, select Standard from to return to the default settings.

With a click on the button " Manage permissions ... " you have the option of making user-defined settings. You can specify individual websites for which cookies should be allowed or blocked.

Enter the URL of the page for which you want to allow or block cookies. Then click either " Block " or " Allow ". By clicking on the " Allow for this session " button , the site's cookies will be allowed until you close Firefox again. Then click on " Save changes ".

  4. Under Block Page Elements, select either Custom or Standard . For user-defined, remove the check next to " Cookies ".
  5. Under "Cookies and website data" click on "Manage permissions ..." to define certain websites for which cookies should be blocked or allowed.
  6. Enter the URL of the website, then click either " Block " or " Allow ". The " Allow for this session " button allows cookies on the website until Firefox is closed again. Then click on " Save Changes ".
