Since Chrome was developed as a web browser by Google, it of course also uses Google as the default search engine. However, you can change the search engine if, for example, you B. prefer to comb the Internet with Bing or Yahoo! That's how it's done:

1st step:

Open the Chrome browser and click the three vertical dots to the right of the search bar to get to the menu .

2nd step:

Click here on " Settings ".

3rd step:

Scroll down to " Search Engine ". There click on the arrow next to the search engine you have just set and select one of the others. This is then activated directly.

1st step:

In the search engine settings, click on " Manage search engines ".

2nd step:

You will now see a list of the standard search engines . To set up another, click " Add ".

3rd step:

Enter the name and the search code of the search engine. As shown in the screenshot here, add the abbreviation " % s " after the URL of the search query . This will start the search right away when you type something in the search bar. 4th step:

The new search engine will now appear under " Other Search Engines ". Click on the three dots to the right of the entry and select " Set as default ".

5th step:

Your search engine should now be listed in the standard search engines. Click on the arrow next to " Manage search engine " to return to the settings .

6th step:

The new search engine is now set as the default. If you click on the arrow next to it, it will also appear in the list with the other search engines. You do n't have to close or save your browser for the change to take effect .

1. Open Google Chrome and click the three vertical dots next to the search bar.
2. Select the settings in the menu .
3. You can find your currently set search engine under " Search engine ". Click the arrow to choose a different search engine.

1. In the search engine settings, click on " Manage search engines ".
2. Your default search engines are listed there. Click on " Add ".
3. Enter the name and search code of the search engine. You have to put " % s " after the URL of the search query so that the search query can be started directly from the search bar. Then click on " Add "
4. The new search engine is now listed under " Other Search Engines ". Click on the three dots to the right of the entry and select " Set as Default ."
