As you surf the Internet, your browser stores a lot of information about you. Sometimes you may not want other people using your computer to see this information. That's why you can use Firefox's private mode to cover your surfing tracks. Search entries, chronicles, pages visited, cookies and other temporary Internet files will then not be saved in your browser.
