Want to change the default language on your Windows 10 and don't know how to do it? We'll show you step by step how it works..

There are additional language packs for Windows 10 that you can change via the system settings. There is a choice between over 100 different languages, which you can also set as the default language by downloading. We will show you exactly how to do this in our instructions below:

Note: Before changing the language, make a note of how you get back to the language settings. Unfortunately, it is a little more difficult to find in an unknown language!

Windows 10 - change language

Follow our step-by-step instructions , the quick start guide or the explanatory video .

1st step:

Open the settings of your computer by clicking on the Windows and then on the gear symbol in the lower left corner.

2nd step:

Now click on the " Time and Language " section.

3rd step

Go to " Language " in the menu bar on the left and then click on " Add Windows display language to Microsoft Store " to download a new language. Note: On newer Windows 10 versions you can click on " Add a language " under " Preferred languages " and search for the language you want and install it.

4th step:

All available languages will then be listed in the Microsoft Store. Now select the language that you want to set up as the default language . In this example we choose the " English " language pack . Click your preferred language to select it.

5th step:

You will then be redirected to the individual view of the language. Go to " Download " there.

6th step:

Make sure the newly opened window that the "Set as my display language " "and language pack install " with a marked hooks are and go finally on " Install ". The process will then start automatically.

7th step:

Once the installation process has been completed, log on to your PC again. The downloaded language is then set directly as the new display language .

1. Open your computer's settings . To do this, go to the Windows icon and then to the gear icon .
2. Click the Time and Language field .
3. Then switch to " Language " in the left menu and then to " Add Windows display language in Microsoft Store ". In newer Windows 10 versions you can click on " Add a language " under " Preferred languages " and search for the desired language and install it.
4. In the Microsoft Store, select the language that you want to set as the display language and click on it.
5. In the individual view of the selected language then go to " Download ".
6. Note that when " Set as my display language " and " language pack install " hooks are set and finally click " Install ".
7. Log in to your computer again . The new language is then set as the display language.
