The PowerPoint presentation software shines with its versatile design options. You can also set designs for the individual slides. If that's not enough, you can include your own images as a slide background.

Image as a PowerPoint background - that's how it works

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Select the slide whose background you want to replace with an image. Click on the " Design " tab in the menu at the top . Now select the option " Format background " on the far right .

2nd step:

Click Image or Texture Fill . A little further down, below " Insert image from ", you have to click on " File ... " so that you can integrate an image of your choice. A new window is opening up.

3rd step:

This window corresponds to Windows Explorer. Navigate to the picture of your choice. Click the image to select it. Then click on " Insert ".

4th step:

Now you have successfully set the selected image as the background of your slide. So far, however, the picture is only the background for this individual slide . In order to automatically apply the image to every slide that has been created and is still to be created, you must select " Apply to all ".

quick start Guide

  1. Open the " Design " tab and click on "Format Background " on the far right.
  2. Select the Image or Texture Fill option .
  3. Then click at " Insert picture from " on " File ... "
  4. In the new window, select the picture that you want to insert. Then click on " Insert ".
  5. You have now successfully formatted the image as a background. To set the same image as the background for every slide in the presentation, click Apply To All .
