In the case of longer PowerPoint presentations, a page number on the slide helps to keep things clear. The numbers are inserted with just a few clicks. We show in our instructions where the function is hidden:

1st step:

In PowerPoint, click the Insert tab . In the " Text " section you will find the " Slide number " function . Click on this.

2nd step:

Check the box next to " Foil number " and click on " Apply to all ". This will automatically insert the page numbers on all slides. If you only want the page number to be visible on certain slides, tap Apply . You can also tick " Do not show on title slide " if you have a cover picture for the presentation that should not contain a number.

You will now see the page number at the bottom right of the slide.

Quick guide: insert page number in PowerPoint

  1. Click in PowerPoint on the " Insert " and select the category " Text function" " Slide number " of.
  2. A new window is opening up. Check the box next to " Slide number " and click on " Apply " or " Apply to all " - depending on whether you want to insert the page number only on the slide that is currently selected or whether you want it to appear on all slides.
  3. If you check "Do not show on title slide ", no page number will be inserted on this slide.
