If you've forgotten your Microsoft account password, you can easily reset it. We show how it's done..

If you don't use a password manager, you can forget one or the other password. If this happened to you for your Microsoft account, here's how to explain what to do.

How to reset your Microsoft password

1st step:

Open the microsoft.com website in your browser and click the login button with the person icon in the upper right corner .

Now enter the corresponding email address for your Microsoft account and then click on " Next ".

Then go to " Forgot your password? "

Now you have to confirm your identity by entering a six-digit code . You can receive this in different ways - for example by email or by generating a code in the authenticator app.

You may have to repeat this process with another verification process if you have enabled two-step verification .
