Google Photos saves all the pictures and videos you take with your Android smartphone. When Google's cloud service is full, you can simply delete unwanted files. But be careful: photos and videos that you delete from Google Photos are also automatically deleted from your smartphone!

How to delete files from Google Photos

1st step:

Open the Google Photos app on your smartphone. Select an item that you want to delete and hold it down until the selection appears. Then tap the trash can in the top right.

Now tap on the three-line menu in the top left to open the app's menu.

Then tap on " Trash " in the list .

You should now empty the trash. All of the items in it can be restored within 60 days, which is why they are still taking up space. To prevent this, tap on the three-dot menu in the upper right corner and then select " Empty Trash " to permanently delete all files it contains.

Open the Google Photos application . Now move your cursor to the desired item and click on the hook in the top left to select it.

All files in the Recycle Bin can be recovered within 60 days , so they are still consuming storage space. To delete them permanently, empty the recycle bin by clicking the " Empty recycle bin " button .
