No matter if Microsoft Teams or Windows 10 - a Microsoft account is required almost everywhere. New installations of Windows 10 in particular have a Microsoft account requirement. If you want to change the password for one of the Microsoft services, it will also automatically change for the other services that are connected to Microsoft.

How to change Microsoft password

1st step:

First, log into your Microsoft account via login.live.com and click on " Security " in the menu at the top .

You can then use " Change password " to change the password for Windows and other Microsoft services.

Microsoft verifies your identity for security. Your email address and / or telephone number will be displayed using the " Verify Identity " form . Determine how you would like to receive the code by clicking on one of the two options.

Now enter the received code and complete the verification with " Confirm ".

In the last step, enter your current password and the new password twice . The changes made are saved with " Save ".

  2. Enter your e-mail address and your password and confirm with " Login ".
  3. Then navigate to " Security " in the menu above .
  4. Here you select " Change password ".
  5. Microsoft will ask you to verify your identity . To do this, you can either have a code sent to your e-mail address or the stored telephone number.
  6. Then enter the code and click on " Confirm ".
  7. Then enter the current and the new password twice.
  8. Then click on " Save " to change the password for Windows and all other Microsoft services.
