Would you like to save yourself the need to enter a password when starting Windows 10? This is how the automatic registration works!

Are you relatively sure that your computer is protected from unauthorized access? Then you can set up automatic logon in Windows 10 in order to bypass the password request. The annoying typing is eliminated and you can work on your computer faster. That's how it's done:

1st step:

Press the key combination [Windows] + [R] . This opens "Run". Enter the command " netplwiz " and click " OK ".

The settings for the user accounts open . Click here on the desired user account (this is then highlighted in blue) and click on the checkmark next to " User must enter user name and password ". When the check mark is removed, click OK .

3rd step:

Your user name should already be entered in the " Automatic login " window . Now enter your password twice and click " OK ". Automatic login is now activated. Click Apply to save your changes. After a restart you no longer have to log in to your PC with a password.

Note: If it does not work the first time, you will have to repeat the process. Activate password protection again, restart your PC and repeat the instructions to remove the password. You should then be able to start Windows without a password.

Alternatively, the old password can be deleted by selecting [Alt] + [Ctrl] + [Del] and then "Change password". Do not enter a new password here and confirm.

Quick start Guide:

  1. Press the key combination [Windows] + [R] at the same time.
  2. Enter the command " netplwiz " in the " Run " window and click " OK ".
  3. In the settings for the user accounts, click on your desired account ( highlighted in blue ).
  4. Deactivate the option " User must enter user name and password " and then confirm with " OK ".
  5. Enter your password twice and select " OK " again.
  6. Click on " Apply " to save your changes and you do not have to log in with your password when you restart .
