You can easily delete your photos on Facebook and on most devices. Markings on other images can also be easily removed. In this guide we explain how this works with Android, on the iPhone and on the computer.

Delete your own Facebook photos

Deleting photos from the profile works a little differently with each operating system or on the desktop:

Android

1st step

Find the relevant picture from your profile overview and tap on it to open it. Then go to the three dots in the top right corner.

2nd step

A menu appears in which you tap on " Delete photo " and confirm the deletion again.

iPhone

1st step

Find the relevant picture from your profile overview and tap on it to open it. Press and hold the picture with your finger for a short time until a menu appears.

2nd step

Simply tap on " Delete photo " in the menu and confirm.

Desktop

1st step

Open Facebook in your web browser, go to your profile page and find the relevant picture. Click on the picture to get a detailed view.

2nd step

Click on the three dots in the top right and a menu will appear.

3rd step:

Select " Delete photo " and confirm your entry.

Remove marks

If you've been tagged on a photo and don't want to be, you can't delete the photo itself, but you can un-tag it. This works the same with Android devices, on the iPhone and on the computer and only looks slightly different.

1st step

Open the relevant post or photo and click on the three dots in the upper right corner .

Select " Remove selection " and confirm your entry.
