Delete Whatsapp account

During the deletion process, not only the account itself, but also all chat histories and backups are deleted. It will also remove you from all WhatsApp groups. However, your chat partners will keep your sent messages . The process on Android is almost identical to that on an iPhone . Deleting your account is quick and easy, directly in the app on your smartphone. The only difference is where you can find the settings and how they are designed.

1st step:

Open WhatsApp and go to settings . On the Android smartphone, tap on the three dots in the upper right corner and then on " Settings ". On an iPhone, the corresponding button is located at the bottom right.

2nd step:

Navigate to the Account submenu .

3rd step:

Then select " Delete my account ".

4th step:

On this screen you will be asked to enter your phone number . To ensure that your account is then permanently deleted, confirm your entry with " Delete my account ". Your WhatsApp account should now be deleted.

Note: According to WhatsApp, if you delete your WhatsApp account, it may still take some time before your data and backups are permanently deleted. In addition, some anonymized data (such as log records) can remain stored in the WhatsApp database..
