You can top up your prepaid credit for O2 tariffs in various ways. You can do this via app, online, with a credit slip, by bank transfer or with an automatic top-up. In this article, we will explain to you exactly how the respective procedures work.

Top up credit with the Mein-o2-App

1. Download the Mein-o2 app from the Google Play Store or the App Store onto your mobile phone and start it.
2. Log in with your o2 login details .
3. In the bar at the bottom, tap on "Credit".
4. If you have already issued a direct debit mandate to o2, you can top up your account under " Top up credit - made easy ". Otherwise, tap on “ Set up now ” and follow the instructions.

Top up credit via the Mein-o2 website

1. Open the website https://www.o2online.de/mein-o2/ and click on " Invoices and credit ".
2. Log in.
3. Here you can store your bank account permanently or top up your account once.

Top up credit with a credit receipt

1. If you want to redeem a prepaid voucher or a prepaid card , pick up the cell phone on which you are using the o2 prepaid contract.
2. Enter the following service code in the phone app: * 103 * CODE #
   Replace CODE with the 16-digit code on your credit receipt or on the credit card.
3. Press the call button and your credit will be credited to you.

Top up credit with bank transfer

If you do not want to permanently store your bank details with o2, you have the option of transferring money to an o2 account:

1. Send an SMS with the content " Bank " to the speed dial 56656 . The message is free of charge in Germany.
2. You will immediately receive an SMS back with a bank account and a purpose of o2.
3. Now create a transfer to the specified bank details and state the purpose from the SMS. When you send the money, it will be returned to you within a few days.
4. If you would like to use this option on a regular basis, you can save your bank details and purpose, as these will not change. For this reason, you can also set up a standing order that will automatically transfer money to the account and thus top up your balance.

Have your credit topped up automatically

For an automatic top-up, you have to issue a direct debit mandate and enter your bank details . You can do this either directly when registering, or afterwards via the My o2 app or website.

1. Open the Mein-o2 app and tap on " Credit " in the lower bar . Under the " Top up credit - made easy " section, tap on " Set up now " and follow the instructions. Then tap again on " Credit " in the lower bar to adjust your top-up settings.
2. Alternatively, open the website https://www.o2online.de/mein-o2/ and tap on " Invoices and credit ". Log in and add your bank account to the website.
3. In both cases, you can now choose whether your balance each month , at below a set amount or unique to be charged. You also have the option of having the fees for your tariff debited directly from your bank account so that you no longer have to worry about your O2 balance.
