3. Amount of the result of an arithmetic operation:

If you want to perform an arithmetic operation first and then calculate the amount of its result, the arithmetic operation comes in brackets: " = ABS ( arithmetic operation ) ". In the example, cells A1 and A4 are first multiplied before the absolute value of the product is output.

Calculating the absolute value of an entire range of cells is a little more complicated.
