Teams is a meeting tool from Microsoft that you can use to create groups with different participants. Within these groups, you can chat by text or take part in video conferences. In the following we explain how you can create and start such a video conference.

Start a video conference in Microsoft Teams

1st step:

You can easily start a video conference in Microsoft Teams: Select a channel from the list on the left . Then click on the camera symbol at the top right . How to create a channel in Teams.

2nd step:

If you'd like, you can add a short subject to the call above . This way, your team knows the topic of the meeting directly. To start the meeting you need to click "Discuss Now ". As soon as the call is in progress, all participants will receive a notification from the Teams channel. So you can decide whether you want to take part in the video conference. At the bottom you can choose whether to turn your camera on or off. If you have connected several cameras, you can select which camera should be used by clicking on " Camera " on the right .
