By default, all of your Facebook friends can see your entire friends list. But if you don't want that, you can hide your friends from prying eyes. We will show you which settings you have to make for this and what you should pay attention to.

How to hide your friends list on Facebook

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Log into your Facebook account in your browser and then click on your profile above (in the new Facebook design, alternatively on the left) .

In the bar below the cover picture click on " Friends ".

At the top right above your friends list, click on the pencil symbol (there are three dots in the new Facebook design) and then on " Edit privacy ".

Here, next to “ Who can see your friends list? ”, Click the options (“Friends” is set here by default). Select " Just me " if you really don't want anyone but you to see your friends. Alternatively, you can use the " User-defined " option to specify who exactly is allowed to see your friends list. In the new Facebook design you also have the options " Friends except " and " Certain friends ".

Note: Even if you have set that only you can see your friends list, your Facebook friends will still be able to see your mutual friends. So you can't completely hide your friends on Facebook..
