This article explains how you can easily measure areas in Google Maps..

With Google Maps, you can now do a lot more than just calculate routes: the service can now measure areas very easily and precisely. You can find out exactly how this works in this article.

How to measure areas in Google Maps

Unfortunately, the measurement of areas currently only works in the browser and not in the Google Maps app.

1st step

To do this, open Google Maps in the browser and zoom in on the map to the area that you want to measure.

2nd step

Then right click on the starting point. Select " Measure distance " there.

3rd step

Now you can mark out the area you want to measure with points . For each corner point click on the respective point on the map . Finally, click on the first point again to stake out the area.

4th step

At the bottom you will now see the distance between the points and the total area within the markings.

1. In the browser in Google Maps, open the area on the map that you want to measure.
2. Right- click on the starting point and select " Measure Distance ".
3. Mark out the area by adding corner points with one click . Click on the first point again to complete the selection
4. The total area is now shown below.
