Use Steam Guard in the Steam app

Steam offers a mobile phone companion. You can download this app for Android and iOS devices. For example, you can use the app to view your games in the library or chat with friends. You can also activate the Steam Guard there:

1. Download and open the Steam app .
2. Then log in with your account details and your password.
3. Open the menu bar using the three lines and then tap " Steam Guard " in the upper left corner .
4. Now add a new authenticator. To do this, you need to provide your telephone number. A one-time confirmation code is sent to them by SMS . If you enter this in the app, the Steam Guard will be activated automatically.
5. Now, whenever you log into Steam, you have to enter an authenticator code in addition to your password . You can read this from the Steam app - even if no internet connection is currently activated on your smartphone. The app uses an algorithm that is linked to your Steam account and generates a new code every 30 seconds.
