Different workbooks can be linked to one another using links in Excel. Sometimes Excel tells you that your table contains shortcuts or links that cannot be found directly. In this tipps + tricks article, we will show you a method to facilitate the search for the unknown shortcut.

How to find links in Excel

To find links in Excel that link to another file using a formula, the normal search function only needs to be adjusted a little. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Open the Excel document that refers to another file or contains a link. Use the key combination [Ctrl] + [F] to open " Find and Replace ".

2nd step:

Enter the file format " .xl " in the " Search for " field . Set " Browse " to " Workbook " and " Search In " to " Formulas ". Then click on " Find All ".
