With the video conferencing tool Zoom, you can record your meetings to share or review later..

With Zoom you can record, save and then share your meetings. As a moderator with administrator rights, you can easily start a recording. If you are just a regular participant in a meeting, the host must first allow you to record the meeting.

Record Zoom Meetings

1st step:

To start recording the meeting, click the three-dot menu below as moderator and then select "Record on this computer ". Alternatively, you can simply use the key combination [Alt] + [R] . As a normal participant, however, you must first be authorized to record the meeting. To do this, read the instructions below.

2nd step:

The recording is then started and a menu bar appears with " Recording in progress ... ". You can also pause or end the recording there . Once the meeting ends, the recorded file will be saved as an mp4 file on your computer.

3rd step:

The local folder with the recording opens automatically. There you can find both the video file and the audio file with no video.

Allow admission

As a host, you can record meetings without permission. All other participants who have not been granted the appropriate rights must obtain permission from the host to record. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions ..

1st step:

To allow another participant to record the meeting, the moderator clicks Participants below during a meeting .

2nd step:

The moderator then selects the desired participant and clicks on " More ".

3rd step:

Now only the entry " Allow recording " has to be selected, after which the corresponding meeting participant can start recordings independently.

1. As a moderator, just click on the three dots below and then select "Record on this computer " and the meeting will start recording.
2. During the recording, a menu bar is displayed that you can use to pause and stop the recording .
3. When the meeting is over, the recording file will be automatically converted and saved as an mp4 file on your computer.

Quick guide: Allow recording

1. To allow another participant to record, the moderator clicks Attendees below during a meeting .
2. Then he selects the desired participant and clicks on " More " and then on " Allow recording ". The selected participant can then perform the recording as described above.
