Software is integrated in Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system with which you can operate your scanner directly from your computer. This gives you more setting options, and you can also preview the scan and crop it. To learn how to scan with Windows, see this article.

Scanning with Windows 10

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Turn on your scanner. This must be connected to your computer via cable or WiFi in order to scan with Windows 10. Then enter " Windows fax and scan " in the Windows search mask and select the relevant search result.

2nd step:

The scan software opens. In the top left, click New Scan . A window will open in which you can make various settings for your scan. At the top you select your scanner, below you can set the file format and the brightness, for example. If your scan template is already in the scanner, you can click on " Preview " to see what your scan will look like. Now you can cut this too.

3rd step:

If you are satisfied with the settings, click on " Scan " below . Your scanner will now start and the progress will be displayed.

You can find the finished scan above. Select it, then click " Save As " at the top . Now you can save the file in a desired location on the PC. Select a folder in your file system and confirm with " Save ".

Quick start guide: Scanning with Windows 10

  1. Prerequisite: Your scanner is switched on and connected to your computer by cable or network. Now type in " Windows fax and scan " in the Windows search mask and click on the corresponding search result.
  2. In the scan software click on " New Scan " in the upper left corner . You can now make various settings for your scan in a window (e.g. select scanner, set file format and brightness). Click Preview to preview the scan. Now you can also crop the scan.
  3. Finally click on " Scan " below . The progress of the scan is displayed.
  4. Above you can find the finished scan. Select it, then click " Save As " at the top to save the file in a location of your choice.
