A word cloud (also word cloud or keyword cloud) is a method to visualize information in a more appealing way. Here, keywords or so-called keywords are shown flat, with individual words - depending on their weighting in the text - highlighted. This type of information visualization is particularly useful in presentations. In the following article we will explain how this works with PowerPoint.

How to create a word cloud in PowerPoint

By itself, PowerPoint does not offer a built-in function for creating a word cloud. With an add-in, however, the obstacle can be overcome quickly. You can read which add-in we recommend and how to proceed afterwards in our step-by-step instructions or the quick start guide .

1st step:

To add the add-in to PowerPoint, navigate to the " Insert " tab and select " Get add-ins " in the " Add-ins " group.

2nd step:

Enter " Pro Word Cloud " in the search field and click on the magnifying glass symbol. Next to the entry found, click on " Add ".

3rd step:

Pro Word Cloud will now open automatically on the right-hand side. Now select a text that is to be converted into a word cloud for your presentation. Then click on " Create World Cloud ".
