Discord server - what is it?

A server can fundamentally be viewed as a platform for the exchange of equal interests. It can therefore be helpful to create several servers for different areas of interest. A server contains all your text and voice channels for a specific area. You can also create several text and language channels to bring even more structure and clarity to the matter. For example, if you set up a server for gaming-specific topics, you can bundle all the chat channels for your online games here. You can then create a single chat channel within the server for each game. This can help new group members with the choice of chat channels. By assigning specific interests, you only communicate with people who have the same interests.

1st step:

Open Discord (in your browser or as an app) and log in with your login details . To create a new Discord server, click on the plus symbol in the top left .

2nd step:

Then go to " Create Server ".

3rd step:

Enter your desired server name . Click the circle on the right to set a server image . To finish the process and confirm your entries, click on " Create ".

4th step:

In addition to the " general " channels, you can add additional voice and / or text channels . To do this, click on the plus symbol under the corresponding point . To add new group members, select Invite People .

5th step:

In the newly opened window you will find the link that you can use to invite other users . Click on " Copy ". The link is on your clipboard for sending and you can paste it using the key combination [Ctrl] + [V] .

6th step:

Right- click the server icon , then click Overview .

7th step:

You can then assign moderation and administration rights via the menu item " Roles " on the right-hand side .

1. Open Discord, log in and click the plus icon to create a new server.
2. Click on " Create Server ".
3. Enter the server name . You can change the server image by clicking on the circle to the right . Then click on " Create ".
4. Click on the plus symbol under text or voice channels to create additional channels or add new group members via " Invite people ".
5. Click on " Copy " to put the link to the invitation on the server in your clipboard. Send the link to the contacts you want to add to the server. To paste, press [Ctrl] + [V] .
6. Make a right click on the server icon and then click on " Overview ".
7. If necessary, assign moderation and administration rights via the item " Roles ".
