Since 2015 PayPal has been offering a special service for online retailers: PayPal Plus. The service is a payment method for online shops where customers can decide whether they want to pay with PayPal, direct debit or credit card or buy on account. You can find out exactly what PayPal Plus is all about in this article.
What is Paypal Plus?
PayPal Plus is a service provided by the payment service provider PayPal, which online retailers can integrate into their shop. When paying in the online shop, customers can then decide how they want to pay. If you don't have a PayPal account or don't want to use it, you can also buy on account or pay by direct debit or credit card. Payment via PayPal is also possible as normal.
Whichever the customer decides, their purchase is made through PayPal. The merchant has to pay a fee for every transaction made in the online shop via Paypal Plus. This depends on the amount of money wagered and is between 1.49% and 2.49%, plus 0.35 euros per transaction. The fee can also be higher for international payments. There is no additional fee for customers to pay via PayPal Plus. You can apply for PayPal PLUS here.
