Create multiple Google calendars

You can only create new calendars on Google using your browser. Once the calendar has been created, it will also be displayed in the app. Follow these step-by-step instructions or take a look at the quick start guide .

1st step:

Open the website https://calendar.google.com in your browser and log in. In the left column click on the " + " symbol next to " Other calendars " .

Select " Set up a new calendar ".

Give the new calendar a name and enter a description . Finally click on " Create calendar ".

The mask is emptied; A confirmation appears at the bottom of the screen that your calendar has been created. Use the arrow at the top left to return to the overview.

You will receive an email when someone else shares a calendar with you . Click on " Add Calendar ". A new tab with Google Calendar opens.

Confirm here that you want to " add " the calendar .

Now the appointments of the new calendar are also displayed. This appears in the column on the left under " Other calendars ". There you can show and hide his appointments with the tick.

If a calendar has been shared with you, its appointments will not necessarily appear automatically in your Google Calendar app. To show the appointments there, first open the Google Calendar app and log in, if necessary. Then tap on the three lines in the top left to expand the menu.

  2. Go to " Set up a new calendar ".
  3. Enter the name and description of the new calendar, then click " Create Calendar ". A confirmation will appear at the bottom.
  4. In the overview, the new calendar is now in the left bar under " My calendar ". There you can show and hide individual calendars using the check marks.
  5. The new calendar will now also be displayed in your Google Calendar Android app . If necessary, you have to " Update " the app using the three dots in the top right corner .
  6. The three lines at the top left will take you to an overview of your calendar. You can show or hide these with the help of the check marks.

Quick start: Add other people's Google calendars

  1. If someone has shared a Google calendar with you, you will receive an email . Then click on " Add Calendar ". Then a browser tab opens with Google Calendar.
  2. Click on " Add ".
  3. Now you can also see the appointments in the new calendar. This appears in the bar on the left under " Other calendars ".
  4. To see the new calendar in the Google Calendar app too, tap on the three lines in the top left of the app .
  5. In the menu, tap at the bottom on " Settings " (gear symbol).
  6. If the new calendar does not appear under your e-mail address, tap on " Show more " there. Then choose the new calendar .
  7. In the settings for this calendar, tap on the slider at the top right next to " Synchronize " . Now the dates of the new calendar also appear.
