When you insert a page break in a Word document, it is invisible. This can be tricky because it can quickly be forgotten and disrupt the flow of text. To remove a page break from a document, you must first make it visible. This article shows you how to do that.

How to remove page breaks from Word

1st step:

Under the " Start " tab in the " Paragraph " area click on the formatting symbol . This will make all formatting symbols visible in your document. You can now also see the page break (" ----- Page break ----- "). To hide the symbols again, click the formatting mark in the Paragraph area again.

2nd step:

You now have two options: Either click to the left of the page break and then press [ Del ]. Or you can click to the right of the break and then press the Delete key (left arrow).

Note: You cannot delete page breaks automatically inserted by Word.
