A Google account is required to log into various Google services - including YouTube and Google Photos. However, creating a Google Account is quick and easy.

How to create a google account

1st step:

Go to the Google website and click on the blue " Create Account " button located in the top right corner of the browser window.

2nd step:

The login field is then displayed. Enter your information here, such as your name and your chosen username , which will be the first part of your "... @ gmail.com" address. Alternatively, you can use your existing e-mail address and activate it for logging into Google by clicking on " Use my current e-mail address instead ". Then set a password. Tips for creating a secure password can be found in another post. Click " Next " to continue

3rd step:

In the next step, you will be asked for optional extras such as telephone number and age . These are not public, but are used for account security, recovery, and access to age-restricted content. Entering the phone number is optional. Then click on " Next ".

4th step:

You can then decide whether you want to activate the personalization settings with " Express Personalization " or decide for yourself which settings should be activated with " Manual Personalization ". These settings include web & app activities, saving your YouTube history and personalized advertising. You can change these settings at any time in your Google account. After making your selection, click " Next ".

5th step:

You will then see a summary of your personalization settings. Now click on " Confirm " to save it.

6th step:

You will then be asked to confirm the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use . Once you click " I agree ", you will be automatically logged into your new account.

7th step:

Your new Google account has been successfully created.

1. On the Google website, click Create an Account in the top right corner .
2. Then enter your name and a desired email address . With " Use my current email address instead " you can also use an existing email address instead of creating a new email from Gmail. Then set a password and click " Next ".
3. In the next step, enter your telephone number and age for account security . Entering the phone number is optional. Click on " Next " again.
4. Then choose a desired option for your personalization settings . These settings include web & app activities, saving your YouTube history and personalized advertising that can be changed later at any time. Click on " Next " again.
5. Then save your personalization settings with " Confirm ".
6. Then agree to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use by clicking " I agree ". Your Google account is now created.
