macOS Big Sur freezes

With macOS 11 up and running, it's important that you run smoothly. Sometimes new versions of macOS tend to get caught. With macOS Big Sur in particular, some users report that the freeze is followed by an unexpected system reboot. Since freezing is a performance issue, optimizing overall performance might help. From what we have tested, CleanMyMac X and its Maintenance feature can be a good solution: 

  1. Open Maintenance in CleanMyMac X
  2. Check the boxes next to "Run maintenance scripts," "Free up RAM," and any other options that may affect performance.
  3. Click on Run.
