Thanks to the new screen capture toolbar introduced in macOS Mojave, you can record the screen of your MacBook or other Mac device in just a few steps . To the option of taking screenshots, Apple has added a tool to record the screen in video.
Press the keyboard shortcut [Shift] + [Command (?)] + [5] to open the toolbar, where all the control commands appear. Before recording the Mac screen, you can make some modifications in Options :
- Save to indicates where the video will be saved automatically after recording.
- The timer sets when the recording should start.
- With the microphone you can record your voice or other audio sources in addition to the images. To do this, you just have to activate it.
- If you enable the option Show floating thumbnail , once the recording is finished, a thumbnail of the same appears in the lower right part of the screen.
- The Remember Last Selection option saves your settings as the default for future Mac screen recordings.
- Show Mouse Clicks displays a black circle around the mouse pointer when the recording is clicked.
