The user's preferred language is set during the Firefox download process. Later, Firefox will use it in all the menus, messages and notifications that it shows you. Of course, this choice doesn't have to be forever, you can set another Firefox language at any time, but how exactly is it done?
Mozilla Firefox offers many other configuration options . These include, for example, the automatic saving of browsing history. Open the Firefox browser and display the menu by pressing the hamburger icon with the three horizontal lines. In the menu, select? Options ?
The settings will open within your browser. Scroll down until you reach the section ? Language ? There, Firefox will show you the currently selected language. To change the language of the browser, click the down arrow:
In the drop-down menu list you will see which languages you have previously used as the browser language. If the desired language appears in the list, select it directly and proceed to the fifth step. If, on the contrary, it does not appear in the list, click on? Search more languages ... ? and continue with the fourth step..
The browser will open a new window with additional language settings. Click? Select a language to add ... ?:
Firefox then opens a list of the available languages. To scroll through the different options in the window, which are arranged alphabetically, click on the arrows pointing up and down . When you find the desired language, select it with the left mouse button.
After clicking on the desired language, it will be shown below, in a gray stripe. Then click? Add ?..
Now, the new language will appear in the top list, which allows you to choose the default language. Select it again (with the left mouse button) and confirm the choice by clicking? OK? :
In this step, the general Firefox options will also show the language you just selected. To apply the settings, click? Apply and restart ? This closes and opens the Firefox browser automatically. From now on, all menus and notifications will be displayed in the newly chosen language.
First of all, remember to previously save all your browser data. Otherwise, you may lose them when you restart Firefox.
