How to identify a new, repaired, replaced or customized iPhone.

IOS devices like iPhone are increasingly popular thanks to the fact that they are sold more and more in the market. However, apart from the market for new iOS devices, there is also a second-hand market in which many users decide to sell their devices to buy new ones. The reason for the sale of the iPhone can be very varied, however the user who is willing to buy the iPhone if they are interested in knowing what the reason is because the iPhone may have been bought new, be a device repaired or replaced by Apple service.

If you are buying a used iPhone or you already have one but you are, you may have wondered if said iPhone was bought as new, if it is a repaired model or if it is a replacement device provided by Apple through a service request . Well, you can know this information without problems..

Thanks to a small trick in which we will use the model identifier of your i Phone, we will be able to know if our iOS device is reconditioned, replaced or even personalized by engraving . This information is of great help especially for those users who want to purchase a second-hand iPhone and before buying it want to know the story behind it.

Having said this, we show you how to access the Model code of your iPhone to identify by means of the prefix if the iOS device is repaired, replaced or customized:

The first thing we will have to do is access the iPhone Settings App, and then go to: General> Information . On this screen you must scroll down to locate the information regarding the Model..

Note: In the info regarding the model, a code that starts with A may appear. This code is not what we need, so you will have to click on it to display a second code.

The first letter of this code will be the one used to identify the conditions of the iPhone. Follow the next guide:

- If the first list of the code is the letter M: The iPhone was purchased the first time as a brand new device..

- If the first list of the code is the letter F: This means that the iPhone has undergone some repair.

- If the first list of the code is the letter N: This means that the iPhone has been replaced by the Apple service at some point; In other words, its owner had some kind of problem with his iPhone and instead of fixing it, Apple sent him a replacement device.

- If the first list of the code is the letter P : it means that the device was personalized with a laser engraving, either a dedication or any text.

Without a doubt this little trick will be of great help to all users who want to buy a second-hand iPhone and before doing so want to know the history of said iOS device. In case they want to sell a device like new and that has never been repaired, it can be detected and thus be able to decide whether to buy it or even a reduction in price.
