Are you tired of being woken up by your phone ringing? Note that today it is very easy to set a song as an alarm clock on an Android smartphone. Beautiful music rather than the traditional beep, beep, it's the ideal solution to start the day in great shape..

Put an end to the stressful bio beep of waking up

Not many people know it, but the sound you choose to wake you up can have a significant impact on your day. Indeed, according to a study carried out a few years ago in Australia, alarm clock with strident sounds would cause a state of drowsiness (sleep inertia) which can have repercussions on our performance at work.

Using music as a ringtone has also been shown to help you wake up more effectively. So if you are not in the morning, it is better to favor a melodious sound..

The Clock application developed by Google and present (by default) on most Android smartphones offers the possibility of choosing your own ringtone. You will find on this page a whole series of free ringtones. But that's not all. The Clock app allows you to set your favorite song as an alarm. The option also supports music streaming services like YouTube Music or Spotify.

Change your alarm ringtone

Waking up to a shrill beep is far from pleasant. Fortunately, the latest version of Google Clock has a multitude of options to get you off on the right foot. If you dream of listening to your favorite song when you wake up, read the following lines..

If you have a Google Pixel phone or any device equipped with Android One (version designed by Google without any overlay), the Clock application is already installed on your smartphone. You just have to make sure you install the latest version. For others, you can download it by going to this page of the Play Store: Google Clock. The operation will not take you more than 5 minutes.

  • Launch the Clock app
  • Click on the alarm tab at the bottom of the window
  • Press the floating blue button with the acronym +
  • Set your wake-up time
  • Then give a name to your alarm by pressing the title line
  • You can, if you wish, define a periodicity
  • Click on the bell icon
  • Press the Add button
  • Choose one of the music titles in your phone's storage memory
  • Confirm your choice

Google Clock also gives you the choice of using a song or playlist from one of the streaming services available on the Play Store namely YouTube Music, Calm or Spotify. Obviously to take advantage of this feature, you must first install the application of the music streaming service.

Then all you have to do is select the song, album or playlist you want to set as your ringtone. Note that it sometimes happens that some of the playlists do not appear on the selection page.

To remedy this problem, the trick is to read the playlist on your smartphone for a few minutes and then go back to the alarm configuration page. Then click on the Recently read section. You should see the desired playlist appear.

This feature has been added to the Clock app to allow any user to choose the song that will put them in a good mood for the whole day. If you know a few catchy titles to get you off on the right foot, feel free to put them in the comments.
