Create a group in Skype

1st step:

Click on " New Chat " in the upper left area and then select " New Group Chat " .

2nd step:

Give the group chat a name. You can also add a picture by clicking on the camera symbol. When you're satisfied, click the arrow in the lower right corner.

3rd step:

You will now see various contacts. Click the contacts you want to add to the group. Here you can also search for users that you do not yet have in your contacts and add them. Select " Done " when all contacts are selected.

4th step:

1st step:

Select a contact or search for a person. Then click on the " Create group " icon in the upper right corner (shadowy person with plus sign). Since the latest version, Skype no longer offers the option of creating empty groups and adding people later.

2nd step:

Now you can choose which contacts you want to add to the group . You can also search for people here. A green check mark appears in the list next to selected contacts . When all participants are selected, click on " Done " in the upper right corner .

3rd step:

You will now see the newly created group . Click on the phone icon in the top right ...

5th step:

... and the group call is started.

Create a meeting in Skype

1st step:

In Skype, click Meeting on the left .

2nd step:

In the next step you will find some details about your meeting. For example, you have a direct link. Just send it to anyone you want to attend your meeting. With a click on " Start call " you start a group call .

Manage group in Skype

Right click on the group and then select " Manage Group ". Now you can adjust various options.

Note: To be able to manage a group, you must have created the group. Because only the creator of a group can change the settings..

• Change group name: Click on the pencil symbol at the top right. Now you can change the name of your group.
• Share link: Sometimes you want people to join a group that you don't even have in your contact list. Via "Share link to join group" you can send a group invitation via direct link.
• Schedule a call: This button allows you to set a time for your group call . This can be useful, for example, if your work group has fixed meeting times. You can also give the planned call a name directly. Alternatively, you can also schedule a call by clicking the three dots in the lower right corner of a group chat and then selecting " Schedule a call ".
• Other functions: The functions just mentioned are the most important. But there are other settings. For example, you can add contacts or bots to the group directly.

2. Give the group a name, then click the right arrow.
3. Add as many contacts as you want, then click Done . You have now successfully created a group chat. You can make a group call using the phone icon in the top right corner.

1. Call up a contact . Then click on " Create group " in the upper right corner (shadowy person with a plus sign).
2. A window now opens in which you can add participants to the group. Here you can select as many people as you want in your group call. These participants can be contacts or they can search for people. Marked people have a green tick next to their name. When you're happy with your selection, click Create Group .
3. You will now see the finished group . Click on the top right phone icon to the group call to start.
